Effective date: August 8, 2026
Company: Shipo LLC (“Shipo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), 310 Cornell Dr, Wilmington, DE 19801.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Shipo LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you visit shipousa.com (the “Site”), request a quote, or otherwise contact us. It does not cover data we process on behalf of clients under a signed services agreement, which is governed by that agreement.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Contact and quote-request details you submit through forms — name, business name, email, phone, and any details you volunteer about your products, order volume, or shipping needs.
- Correspondence you send to [email protected] or by phone.
Information collected automatically when you browse:
- Standard log and device data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies used for site performance and caching (NitroPack), analytics services such as Google Analytics, and business-visitor identification (Apollo, which infers the organization associated with a visit from network/IP data). See “Cookies and tracking” below.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
3. How we use information
- To respond to quote requests and inquiries and to provide, quote, and improve our services.
- To operate, secure, and analyze the Site.
- For business-to-business marketing (for example, following up with companies that requested information or visited the Site), consistent with applicable law.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases for processing (EU/UK visitors)
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data on these legal bases: (a) your consent; (b) our legitimate interests in operating and marketing our business, where not overridden by your rights; (c) performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one; and (d) legal obligations to which we are subject.
5. How we share information
- Service providers who help us run the Site and our business (hosting/WordPress, caching, analytics, business-visitor identification, email, and CRM/outreach tools), under contracts limiting their use of the information.
- Legal and safety recipients — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
6. International data transfers
Shipo is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the U.S. If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with data-transfer restrictions, transfers to the U.S. are made under appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable).
7. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for performance/caching, analytics, and business-visitor identification. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect Site functionality. Where required by law, we request consent for non-essential cookies through our cookie notice.
8. Your choices and rights
- Email: you can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- U.S. state privacy rights: depending on your state (including California, Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your personal information, and to appeal a denial.
- EU/UK rights: you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent, as well as to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
- To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We will verify your request before acting on it.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. In general: quote and inquiry information is retained for up to 24 months after our last contact unless you become a client; client information is retained per the applicable services agreement; and analytics and log data are retained for up to 14 months. We then delete or de-identify the information.
10. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
